Crane types we hire
Eight kinds of machine, each solving a problem the others cannot. The choice is usually driven by ground, access and duration rather than by the weight of the load.
Tower Crane Hire
For buildings going up over months. Stays on site, reaches the whole footprint, and removes the set-up and strike cycle that slows a visiting crane.
Crawler Crane Hire
Runs on tracks instead of outriggers, so it works on soft, reclaimed or freshly excavated ground and can travel with a load suspended.
Mini Crane Hire
Small enough to pass through a doorway and ride a goods lift, so it reaches loads inside a finished building. The machine for glazing and plant rooms.
HIAB and Truck Mounted Crane Hire
A lorry with its own crane. Loads itself, carries and unloads, which replaces a flatbed and a separate crane on most delivery and container jobs.
Pick and Carry Crane Hire
Known locally as a hydra. Lifts a load and drives with it, which is what makes congested compounds and factory yards workable at all.

Not sure which crane you need?
Most people are not, and it is genuinely not something you should have to work out yourself. Send us three things and we will tell you: roughly what the load weighs, a photograph taken from where you think a machine could stand, and how far it has to reach from there to where the load lands.
That is usually enough to name the machine and price the job the same day, without a site visit. Where it is not, we will say what else we need rather than quote around the gap.
